General Information

It costs over £6000 per day to keep Ely Cathedral open. We ask you to help us by paying an admissions charge. Your ticket will allow you to return as often as you wish for a whole year.

We will never turn anyone away because they are unable to pay, so please talk to the Admissions Staff at the desk if this is the case.

There is no charge before 9am, after 5pm, on a Sunday, if you are attending a service or have come here specifically to pray. Admission is free to the Refectory Café and to the Cathedral Shop.

Thank you so much for helping us sustain the life and worship of this magnificent Cathedral, for this and for future generations.
